Death Duties.
. .+ A return presented to Parliament shows that the death duties for the three years ended March last realised £93,632. The late Hon. A. G. Tolle mache, Hawke's Bay, headed the list, his estate being valued at .£464,201 ; duty, £35,640. Mr W. H. Levin, Wellington, came next with £242,734, duty, £12,246; Mr John McKelvie, of Rangitikei, third with £115,591. duty £5,829 ; Mr Richard Beaumont fourth with £104,515, duty £6,225, Captain Troutbeck's (Hawke's Bay), was retuened at £46,22 M, tbe duty being J>2,255 ; Mr Luoena (Waira rapa) £56,107, duty £2788; Hon J. Martin, (Wellington), £93,358, duty £4,617; Mr George Gunn, £43,769, duty £2,279 ; Mr J. Todd, £35,379, duty £3,537 ; Mr John Edmond (Dunedin), £21,608, duty £1,079 ; Mr N. J. M'Gregor (Silverstream), £22,395, duty £1,119; Mr A. M'Nab, .Southland), .-631,382, duty £3,118; Mr J. , Preston (Southland), £40,141, duty £2,002 ; Mr John Coe, £25,933, duty £1,289; Hon W- S.
