The price paid by Mr K Robs for the stallion Megaphone was 200 guineas. Busefeldt has come into demand for the New Zealand Cup, and bids fair to see a short price before long. Rangipuhi is said to be in great fettle, and all going well, he will make the journey to Christchurch in Novem ber next for purpose of contesting in the New Zealand Cup. Mutiny has at length scored a win in Australia. At the Rosehill races on August 14th, he won the hurdle race of 60 BOVB. 2 miles with lOst slb up, from 11 others. He started farourite at 2 to 1, and was ridden by G. Hope. He won easily in the fair time of 4mm I£anca. This will serve to lessen the expenditure incurred by Mr Douglas with his New Zealand team.
