• (Per Press Association.) Wellington August 24,. It is stated that the youngest son of Lord Glasgow is Buffering from a slight attack of chicken-pox, and steps have been taken to isolate the case. A 6hipment of 155 cases of crab apples from Tasmania were found to be infected with codlin moth and condemned. Forty cases have been returned to Hobart, and the remainder is to be need as ships stores. H.MS. Wallaroo will make a test of the Mokihinui coal while at Lyttelton. Invehcabgill, August 24. There is a great deal of sickness in the town, mostly the effects of influenza, and the death rate is high, both old and young succumbing.
