(Per Press Association.) I HRISTCHCRCU, Allfjlist 21. The Diocesan Synod opened to day, Bishop Julius gave a Ions: address. At a special service at the Cathedral tonight he referred to the changes in the diocese during the past year, and to the success of the institution of deaconesses. He advocated the establishment of a superannuation fund for the clergy, and expressed the opinion that women should be allowed to vote at parish meetings, but did not think it advisable that they should take church offices.
