London Wool Sales.
The London agent of the Golonial Bank of New Zealand reports under date* London, sth July, 1894, as follows: — • The fourth aeries of auctions of Colonial wool for this year opened here on the 3rd instant with a net available quantity of about 297*000 hales (in- - eluding 116,000 old stock held over from last series) of the total New Zealand bsa about 105,000 bale*. The sales opened with a large attendance from all quarters and competition, was animated. Prices average for all merino wools an advance of quite 6 per cent on June closing prices and finer grades of orossbreds realise^ntx to 5 per cent rise, there being no change in the lower grades. As at present arranged the series will close on the 30th instant. A noticeable feature in the sales room is that buyers exhibit a spirit and cheerfulness that was painfully absent at recent aub. lions.
