MR HERBERT-JONES' LECTURE.
TO THE EDITOR OF THE STAK. Sir, —l am glad to see by an advertisement in your columns that Mr Herbert-Jones has consented to give us a lecture on Wednesday evening next. Mr Herbert-Jones is a gentleman of grent ability, and, as I am in formed by some of the most able men in Wellington, a most delightful lecturer. He is a fellow of the Eoyal Geographical Society, and of the Royal Colonial Institute, and a great travel ler and a man of the world. The lime light views, I also learn, are very beautiful. The lecture will be an inteleetual and instructive treat to old and young, and having myself urged Mr Herbert-Jones to give us at Feilding the opportunity of hearing him, I am anxious both for his sake and that of my friends in Feilding, that he should have a large and appreciative audience. I am, etc.. A. Follet Halcombb. Feilding, 21st August, 1894.
