Mr F. G. Woollarus, chemist, advertises to-day poisoned wheat for birds. Mr Herbert- Jones will give his famous lecture in the Assembly Rooms on Wednesday next. Sec advertisement. The Woodvillo Examiner says: — Some of the indigenous insects are fast developing into pests. One of the bush grubs has takeu to tho boring of peach trees ; while tho grub of tho largo beetle attacks the macrocarpa and kills it outright."
