Australian Turf Statistics.
TRENTON HEADS THE LIST OF WINNING SIRES. The Australian turf statistics, published by the Australasian, show that last season the progeny of five Musket sires won between them iJ20,544. The following were the respective amounts won by the progeny of each of the sires named :— Trenton, £9869 ; Nordenfeldt, £6032; Martini-Henry, £3158; Musk Rose, £745; Thunderbolt, £545. The above figures, of course, only represent winnings on the Australian turf. The progeny of Nordenfeldt's racing in New Zealand during the same period won stakes to the amount of £3238, so that if that sum is added on to his Australian total the same will be raised to £9370.
