Tbo New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company report on the Add ins ton stock sale as under :— At the Addington market to day the weather was bad and the enttios small. There were 2209 Bto"v .-heep entered, con»isting of crossbred*, hoggots and aged crossbred ewes principally. There was « fair demand. Hog* gets brought from 8s to 10* ; ewes, 9s to 1 3s ; forward wethers, 18s 2d. The supply oi'fat sheep was 3100, the quality b* ing good and the competition keen Primi) Crossbred wethers, 16s to 17s! ; prime ewes 13s to 18s ; merino wethers, 83 to 13d 6d. Beef — The supply was small and the quality indifferent The competition for prime steers and heifers was very firm: Steers, £8 10s to .£11; heifers, £7 to £10 2s 6d ; cows £9 ; beef making up to 25s per I OOlbs. There was a Mnall yarding of store cattle and no change in valuoi. The supply of pigs was moderate. Baconers met goo J competition bringing 3gd per 1b ; porkers 3£-d per lb.
