Lowes and lorns report on theirj Masterton stock sale, held on Wednesday, asunder: — The entries of sheep and cattle were quite up to the averi age for tbis season of the year in point of numbers, but a considerable portion , was inferior in quality, consequently the sale dragged at these pens, but they were quitted at market rates. Fat wetbers realised 13s ; fat ewes, 12s to 12s ld ; old ewes, in lamb (very poor), from 3s Sd to 6s Gd 5 culled lambs, poor, 3s 2d. Fat cows, £5 ; dairy cows, £5 to £6 ; springing heifers, from £i 17s Gd to £6, a pen of superior quality fetching £6 17s fid each ; 18-montbs steers, 53s to 57s 6d; do. heifers, 18s; weaners, 31s. A number of backs were sold at £6 to £7 10s ; draught gelding, 6 years, £191 We still have good enquiries for hoggets, young ewes, and wethers. Mr Chas. Carr reports on his Feilding stock sale as follows :—Although the weather was very boisterous yesterday, there was a good attendance at the sale. The entries of both sheep and cattle were large, and of a superior class. Tbe whole of tbe sheep wei*e sold and all but one or two pens of cattle. I quote the following prices : Cattle — Weaners, 72s to 355 ; 2-year steers, £2 15s to £3 ; 2-year heifers, indifferent, £2 15s; fat bullocks, very good, £6 10s ; forward bullocks, good line, £5 2s 6d. Sheep — Shorn hoggets, 5s to 8s ; woolly hoggets, 7s 5d to 7s Ild ; wethers, 9s 6d ; ewes in lamb, mixed ages, very good, 12s Gd.
