Roman Catholic Mission.

This morning the Catholic mission closed at St. Bridget's, and, though the weather was mo t unfavorable, there was a good attendance at the seven and eight o'clock services. Last evening the choir from St. Patrick's Church, Palmerston, with Mr Pickering, cornet, gave several beautiful selections. The Rev. Father Patterson conducted the choir. The names of the ladies and gentlemen of the choir were — Misses Rodgers (2) and Oakely, and Messrs Brophy, Rodgers, and Pickering. Mr Tuohy, throughout the mission, acted as Master of Ceremonies and performed his part perfectly. The whole of the Catholic members of the parish have shown great kindness to the Reverend visitors and the choir, and did all in their power to make everything a success. Nine children made their first Comluunion this morning. Last evening more than a hundred persons joined the Temperance Society, and all the members of the parish renewed thoir baptismal vows. The Reverend Fathers left this morning for Foxton, having nothing but the kindest and pleasantest recolleetious of the good people of Feilding.
