Harcourfc has promised to introduce a Payment of Members Bill next session. The Britannia, 'Meteor and Carina started for the Queen's Cup at Cowes regatta. The Britannia was disqualified on the ground of a premature start, much to the chagrin of the Prince of Wales, who was on board his yacht. The Emperor William sailed the Meteor himself. The Carina was awarded the prize. The Evicted Tenants Bill passed the third reading by a majority of 32. The Irish members decline to listen to any compromise, and its rejection by the Houge of Lords is regarded as certain, thougli it' has been read a first time in the Upper Chamber.
