SOUTH CANTERBURY v. HAWKE'S BAY.
(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION}. Napier. August 8. Hawke's Bay defeated South Canterbury by 6 points to 8. The losers had, if anything, the best of tho game. The play was, as a rule, of a packed description. For the winners, Bennett obtained a try and O'Conuell kicked a penalty goal. Heelan obtained the try for South Canterbury. Mr W. J. CotCotterill, of Christchurch, was referee.
