The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited) report for the week ending 3rd August, 1894 :— Wool Small quantities have come forward, and have realised as follows : Crossbred, 6£d ; crutchings, 3£d ; pieces, 3d ; locks, 2d. The fifth series of London s«les is fixed to commence on 18th September next. Sheepskins — Small supplies to hand, and quotations since last week are a shade easier. Factory cross- . breds, prime full-woolled, to 5s 3d ; half-woolled, . to 4s 7d. Best station skins, 3s 7d ; half-woolled, 2s 4d to 2s Sd ; inferior, Is 6d to 2s ; pelts, 4d tor6d. Hides — Small consignments coming to hand realise recent market quotations/.-<" : Flax-^-There is nothing to report, and advices from Australia are awaited -with interest. Wheat— Advices from the South t«nd to show that prices arc still advancing and orders cannot be filled at recent quotations, the recent rise being well maintained, and whole fowl wheat is difficult to obtain, being firmly held and in short supply j Whole fowl wheat is now quoted at j 2s 7d tj2«Bd ex store, sacks extra, j Oats— There is no change to report. OrdeTß are coming in for seed qualities, which are being filled at 2s per bushel ex store, sacks extra. Rye Grasa— Enquiry is being made for spring sowing-, and prime qualities are difficult to obtain except at enhanced prices. Prime quality is worth 4s 9d per bushel; second quality, 4s 6d per bushel ex store, sacks extra.
