Legislative Council Appointments
(per press association;. Sydney. This Day It is reported that the Premier is in conflict with the Governor over Legislative Council appointments. Sir R. Duff declines to appoint more than three or four out of a dozen suggested, but Sir G. R. Dibbs claims the right to mako appointments, although he has initiated that he intends to resign. It is also rumoured that the Premier has cabled to the Marquis of Ripon, directing Uis attention to the Governor's action.
