A CORRECTION

TO THE EDITOR OF THE STAR,

Sir, — In your report of the meeting of the Kiwitea County Council published in last Monday's Star, Mr Jones and I are represented as stating, in our report on the proposed new road through May field, that " its actual length is 24 chains leas than the old road." I do not wish to take advantage of a clerical error on your reporter's part which may mislead any ratepayer interested in the matter. The total length of the new road is 220 chains and that of the old road 196 chains. I am, etc., Wm. F. Jacob.
