[fkom our own correspondent J There was a fair attendance at the meeting held on Saturday last to receive the report of the Committee chosen by the meeting of June 30th to inspect the proposed sites for a bridge. Mr Dickin, Chairman of the Pohangina Road Board, was voted to the chair. The Chairman read the report. The first site visited was the Beehive Creek. The bridge, at this point would have to be about ten chains long, and the river shows signs of coming in at the rear of it. The second site proposed is at the Ferry road. The third site is at the boundary of the Manchester Block. The bridge here would only need to be about three chains long. The water mns in a deep channel at this site, and has kept one cojurse for eight years. Amendments were proposed, by Mr Lynch, That the Ferry road site be adopted ; by Mr Wagstaff, That the Beehive Creek site be adopted ; by Mr F. W. Whibley, That the boundary of Manchester Block site be adopted. These amendments were all lost.
