Pohangina County Bill Passed.
In the House yesterday Mr Pirani replied to the debate on the second reading of the Pohangina County Bill. On a division being called for by Captain Russell the second reading was carried by 52 to 7, and the committal was set down for Thursday next, when the Premier will move to add a clause to the effect that the proposed County Couucil shall be the only local authority in the district with power over matters dealt with in the County Act.
