Pohangina Deputation to the Premier.
— «**> — - Mr Fred. Pirani, M.H.R., introduced Mr D. D. McKenzie to the Premier last evening as a deputation from Pohaugina settlers in reference to the construction of a road through the Totara Reserve, and the Pohangina County Bill. Replying to the representations made, the Premier said Mr Pirani had fully represented these matters to the Government for some time past, and had not in any way been idle since the opening of Parliament. He could assure the deputation that when the estimates came before the Cabinet the vote for a road would have consideration as to its importance, and in regard to the Pohangina County Bill all assistance would be rendered. — Standard.
