The sets were promptly formed, the Governor and the L:idy Mayoress taking «lip. lead, and Bill, having: clapped his h:»n is to secure ! attention, shouted, " \\\ ready? Off yer jfo ! Top >.idy and hoppersite "g-ent advance to the centre, sliaz-zay-cruzz^y, and then swinp parrjners!" The word '• swinti 1 " was faTiy shrinked ont. and n.ivprnor Dutf. entprinir v«to .he spirit of thp revelry, gripped the ample waist of the Mayoress, and swung her round with such vigour that the affrighted Mayor called, " Hey, pro easy with 'er, yer Hexellency ! Lo' Mew me ! '0^ ud you ]fke if I swung your missis round like a bloonrtn' teototuro? Go slow, or you'll make the ole girl sicker 'n a dorg ! " After that the Governor * { went slow," and the remainder of the entertainment, to use Bill's own words, went " simply pcrumptiouß."
