A football match u'»s played on the Feilding Oval yesterday afternoon between the Red Stars and Kia Ora (Palmerston) football clubs and resulted in a win for the former by six points to nil The visiting team came np with six men short and the number was made up principally of Maoris R. Parr scored two tries for the winners. Mr J Johnston acted as referee. The following team will represent Marton in the Cup match to be played at Marton next Saturday, against Feilding : — Ward.T lloss, Kendrick, C McDonnell, W Shannon, M. Fullton, Cameron, Smith, Aldworth, O'Connor, Nudge, Iyeson, Kilner, Desmond and Eockell. Emergencies — McMahon and Webb, forwards ; Cameron, back. A match took place at Halcombe yesterSaV afternoon bctwesn Feilding school boys and HalcomUe school boys, resulting in a victor> for the former by 24 points to nil. Both sides fought very hard, but the Feilding team proved themselves too much for Halcombe.
