Liquor Traffic in England.
[PBB PBBiS AS.sOCIATIOIf.J London, July 8. A number of members of the House of Lords, including the Dukes of West minster, Argyll and Aberdare, a section of the Bishops, and also Cardinal Vaughan, have asked the Government to make enquiries with a view of adopting the Gothenburg system of controlling the liquor traffic. Mr Chamberlain, when asked; to join the movement, replied that: he despaired of reforming the liquor trade unless compensation were provided^
