Ths Feilding Bed Star Football Olub will play a match on the Oval to-morrow afternoon with a team from Campbelltown The Pirates have decided to protest against their first match played with Feilding and won by the latter on the ground that Roache was not eligible to play, being a member of a Wellington senior team and only a visitor to Feilding at the time. — Manawatu Times. A good deal of illfeeling has been occassioned through the publishing of names supposed to be the team to play against Taranaki. So annoyed were the Pirates at seeing only one of their number chosen that they at once issued, a challenge to the team thought to be the reps. By their win on Saturday the Feilding Club secures the Championship, although their are two matches yet to play. The Red Star team to play against; Campbelltown to-morrow is — Swance, W. Smith, Parkes, Markman, Parr, Hurdle, Brinkman, Evans, J. Smith, McMillan, Bcechey (2), Wells, Rosaman, F. Foster.

The New South W T ales Union wish it to be distinctly understood that they come as a gaest of the New Zealand Union, and will only play at invitation and in such matches as the New Zealand Union may appoint.
