A representative team of tho Oroua Association Club, in spite of the inclemency of the weather, journeyed by coach to Woodville yesterday, and were most hospitably entertained at the Masonic Hotel by the Woodville Club. Ihe Woodville skipper having won the toss elected to play down hill. Shortly after two o'clock the County set the ball in motion, and play was evenly maintained till towards half-time, when the County, through hesitation on account of not understanding the game, retained the ball too long, and their opponents charged the ball through tho goal. On changing goals the County kept the ball well within their opponents' territory, aud worked hard to avoid defeat. Brilliant runs occasionally marked the local team's play. Although the County continually endangered the Woodvillo goal, they were unable to equalise matters, and Woodville were the victors by one goal to nil. The Woodville team played a brilliant- game throughout, whilst for the County F. Myers, Beattie and Hare Bros, worked bard.
