Mr Prior for the plaintiffs, and Mr Richmond for defendant. Judgment by consent with costs £3 10s, and solicitor's fee £2 155. R. G. and A. Green v. W. Whisker, a judgment summons, claim £2 ss. Mr Sandilands for plaintiff. Judgment for plaintiff, the amount to be paid within three days, or, in default, one week's imprisonment in Wanganui gaol. Wm. Connell v. J. Saunders, claim £2 Is 6d. Mr Prior for plaintiff and Mr Sandilands for defendant. This was a case in which plaintiff sued for recovery of an amount alleged by plaintiff to be owing on account of wood cutting contract. The dispute was as to whether plaintiff was enlitled to 6s or 5s for cutting n^tai.' Plaintiff and Isaac Googisr gave evidence, and Joseph Saunders and A. Ruff gave rebutting evidence. Judgment was for defendant, with solicitor's fee 21s. R. R. Collins and the D.0.A., in the estate of Peter Rugsted v. E. Ellis Bros, and Valder, claim £31 10s. Mr Sandilands for plaintiff and Mr Meldrum for defendants. This was a claim for the value or return of a draught mare sold by Rugsted (who had since filed) to Ellis Bros, and Valder. It was contended by Mr Sandilands that Rugstcd had no right to sell any of his horses as Collins had a bill of sale over them. The question was whether defendants were rightly in possession of the horse. Since the meeting of Rugsted's creditors application had been made to defendants for the return of the horse but it had not been complied with. R. JR. Collins was oxamined, he holding a bill of sale over Rugsted's horses as security for £100 lent, £30 of which amount was still owing. [Left Sitting, j.
