A. G. Taine and Co. report on the markets for the week ending 21st June : — Fat sheep — There is an improved demand, and really prime mutton is readily saleable. We quote ; Wethers, 12s to Ids for prime, 10a 6d to 11s 6d for second quality ; ewes, 8s to 10s ; store wethers, 9a 6d to 10s ; lambs, 5s 6d to 6s 6d ; culls, 3s and upwards. Fat cattle— We quote : Beef 19s per 1001b. Dairy cows are in active demand, and all about to calve find immediate. bolo from £7 to £8 ; heifers coming to calve about springtime, £&:. 108 to £4 15s. Pips, baconers, 35« to 42s 6d ; porkers, 20s to 255 , stores, 129 to 17s ; demand rather quiet. Sheepskins— The wet weather has caused the demand to eluckift oft'. Fine dry weather will firm the market ngain Best crossbred-, 3s 6d to 4s ; country skins, 2s 6d to 3s ; pelts, 6d to Is 6d ; broken skins, 2sd to 4d.
