The Railway Commissioners decline to discuss with the New South Wales Commissionei's, whether in charging differential rates they are acting fairly by another colony. A man named Fraser shot a woman named Anderson in a hotel in Bottrke street and then committed suicide. The woman is in a precarious condition. The affair arose out of a dispute over a recent law suit. The Commandant has written, to the University authorities suggesting that students should be trained in duties of military officers. The Chancellor ap-
proved of the suggestion.
