STRAY CATTLE.
TO THE KDITOR OF Til P. STAK. Sib, — Mr Blackmore in his letter to the " Star" writes in an injured tone as if he had been accused of letting horses out of people's paddocks for the purpose of securing poundage fees. Now, I don't think the letter which appeared in Friday's issue re " Sneaks letting horses adrift," was meant to apply to him at all, but that someone is going round at night and turning out horses from paddocks on to the road from whence they get into the pound, is a fact. I could mention several of our prominent citizens who have suffered in like manner, and I hope they will send you a line bearing me out in what I say. I am, etc., T. L S. True.
