On Saturday the first two heats of the second round for tho Championship will be decided. Feilding meets Birmingham, at Birmingham, and the Pirates and Kea Kaha play at Palmerston. An interesting match will be played at Palmerston to-morrow between Mana.watu Polo Club and Banks. Tbe betting is in favor of the latter. A match was played at Halcombe on Saturday between teams ntyliug themselves " Waituua Gory-Bleeders " and " Halcombe Bruisers." The Bruisers won by a try to nothing. The Marton Club will play theFordell Club on Saturdaj'. The match between the Pirates and Kea Kaha next Saturday will be a very exciting one. Owing to the difficulty of obtaining leave of absence, none of the University team will be included in the tour of the New South Wales football team through New Zealand. There will be a practice on the Oval to-morrow afternoon. The following team will represent the Unions in their match against the Kia Oras at Palmerstou to-morrow : — W. Gosling, D. McFarlane. J. Smith, James, E. Haybittle, J. Evans, W. Hall, D. Morris, J. Walton, G. Boyd, Martin, W. and T. Bramwell, Hamilton, Hughey. Emergencies — A. Bray, F. Touhy.
