THE FANCY DRESS BALL. TO THE EDITOR OF THE STAR. Sir, — Will you kindly afford me space to mention that I should have had the services of Mr Haybittle's String Band, only they were engaged for a ball at Bulls the same night, and, as last Friday evening was the breaking up of the schools, I could not alter my date, as so many of my pupils would have been dispersed the following week. Another time I hope to be more fortunate in that respect. I am, etc., F. Hyde Parker, Feildiug, June 18th, 1894. "THE BANSHEE." TO THI! EDITOR OF THE STAR. Sir, — In reference to a generally expressed desire from the public of Feilding suggesting a repititlon of " The Banshee;" I nave great pleasure in stating that I have made arrangements for its reproduction in the Assembly Rooms on Wednesday evening, June 27th. 1 hanking my friends for their good wishes, 1 am, etc., Samuel Knight.
