The Plague in China.
, _^ CHINESE THREATEN TO DESTROY A BRITISH SETTLEMENT. (PEB PRESS ASSOCIATION). Hong Kong, June 14. Eighty-six persons died of the plague on Tuesday. The English soldiers arc now being effected. The Chinese residents threaten that, if the Chinese quarter of Hongkong is destroyed on account of the plague, the British settlement in Canton will be fired.
