The Feilding Star, Oroua & Kiwitea Counties Gazette. Published Daily. WEDNESDAY, JUNE 13, 1894. ARBOR DAY.

■*■ — This has now become a recognised institution in tbe Colony. We are pleased to see that the date has been changed from the 4th to the Ist of August. In this connection we would like to point out that, although the Governn eat proclaim the day a holiday throughout the Colon}* , the privi lege is not extended to the To^t and Telegraph offices. If this were dne tbe business people, especially in country towns like Feilding, could with some reason bo asked to give their employes a wholo instead of the usual half-holiday.
