Memoranda _ — ♦- Mr A. Hickford, agent for the Alliance Company, will visit Halcombe tomorrow. Mr George Preece, of Palmerston North, advertises cheap money to lend. There will be a meeting at the Courthouse to-morrow afternoon of creditors of|P. Rugsted, a bankrupt. Messrs Chamberlain Bros., of Kinibolton road, offer a reward for the recovery of a part bred colley dog pup gone astray. The Manawatu County Council invite tenders for the clearing and formation of 33 chains on Pyke's road, Oroua bridge. John Cobbe haa received per s.s. "Rimutaka," one case containing 42 ladies' and children's macintoshes, latest shapes, also a parcel of 13 French robes. These goods having been by mistake shipped in London during April instead of February have arrived two months after time. In order to clear them out at once they will be sold at Colonial wholesale prices. The ladies and the general public of Feilding and the surrounding districts will be glad to learn that Mr J. B. Hamilton, who has lately paid a visit to the best wholesale houses in the colony, has succeeded in purchasing on exceptionally favorable terms a complete new stock of the very best materials iv the market. Mr Hamilton expects the consignments will be to hand this week, due notice of which will be given by advertisement, " Pneumonia is a malady that offers an unflattering record of fatality on the side of drug treatment.
