(PKB PBEBS ASSOCIATION). Udnkdin, June 7. The annual meeting of the National Dairy Association was held to day. It was resolved to refer to the Executive, together with Mr Reynolds (Auckland , and Mr Robbins (Stratford), the defining of conditions on which the North Island factories could join the Associaion It was decided to point out that if cold storage is not provided by next season the industry will suffer great loss. It was also resolved that the most modern cool cars for butter should be provided by the Railway Commissioner-, and. that in the interest of settlement all ovrr New Zealand special facilities in the way of cheap and effective railage for milk and all dairy produce should be provided. The Committee appointed to consider the Dairy Industry Act brought up a report, and it was resolved to recommend that the Act should be amended so as to give Government inspectors power to mark butter for shipment as bad or adulterated, and that dairy blotter mean only butter made and packed at individual farms A further recommendation was made that the Act be amended so that the power now conferred on inspectors of milk for sale in towns should be extended so as to cover tbe inspection of all dairies and milk -sheds by stock inspectors. It was resolved that the Association should appoint a committee to endeavor to regulate the price of milk in different districts.
