The Licensing* Committees.
[Per Press Association.] Dunedin, June 7. The Taieri Licensing Committee adjourned seven applications, intimating that three of these would be refused renewals. Ashbubton. June 7. The Licensing Committee renewed all existing licenses, but closed all houses at 10 o'clock. CnRiBTcncRCH, June 7The Lyttelton Licensing Committee to-day gave notice of its intention to refuse licenses to the Railway, Cambridge, ancl Crown hotels. An extension of the hour of closing till 11 o'clock was granted to hotels in the town of Lyttelton only. ** edson, June 7 At the City Licensing meeting today all existing licenses were renewed. Eleven o'clock extensions were granted in town and were applied for at Richmond and Brightwater fpr the convenience of train passengers. Wellington, June 7 The Otaki Licensing Committee granted all renewals with the excep tion of three, namely — Lang's at Sandon, Broad bent's at Shannon, and Dixon's at Otaki. The decisions in these cases wero adjourned to allow of certain improvements being effected in the buildings,
