The Wanganui Borough loan of £55,---000 has beon purchased by the Bank of New South Wales at par, debentures bearing five per cent with a curreucy of 20 years, consequently there will bo no expense to the ratepayers who previously reckoned it would cost £1200 to float. Tho negotiations were'eonducted between Mr F. R. Jackson (Mayor), aud Mr Powijqs (Local Manager.)
