A. G. Tame and Co report nf the market for tho week ending May 31 : — Pat sheop - The market nhows an iucreased tone. Prime wethers, 13s to I 3« 8d ; fair and medium weight", 10s to 12s ; prime ewes, 108 to 11s (>d; and inferior sorts, 7s to Bs>. Store sheep— Very few changing bonds, and demand is flack. Prices remain at last quotations. Lambs are enquired after, aud prices rango from 68 to 9s for best ; other*, 5s to 5s QA. Fat cattle — Really prime beet is enquired after, but medinm quality is, we might say in over supply. We quote — Prime beef 18s to 19s ; medium quality, 16s to 17sJ$d per 1001 b. Store cattlo-No demand at present. We quote — Good milk cows, £6 to £1 ; heifers, £3 10s to £5 ; weaners 21s to 255. Pigs are in moderate demand, baconers selling at 40s to 455 ; porkers, 20s to 82s 6d ; stores, 10s to 17s 6d. Horse market — We quote -Young draught, i-20 to .£24 ; medium, £12 to .£lB ; harness horses, young and broken, .£l2 to £'17; hacks, £"8 to £'12 for good sorts, and others £2 aud upwards. Sheepskins arc selling well, and for really good skins au excellent demand exists. Wo quote -Butcher skins to 3s, and others to 2s 6d. Dry country lots sell readily at and from 2^d to 4d per lb, according to quality. Hides — No change in market, and all lots sell at last quotations. Tallow — Market remaius quiof, and prices unaltored. Wheat — No change to report. Milling. 2s lOd to 2s lldjmodium, 2s 8d ; fowls' wheat, 2s Id to 2* (id. Oats — Bright heavy sorts aro euquirpd after, and soil, up to 2s ; good feed, Is lOd to Is lid; inferior sorts, Is B'J to Is 91, sacks extra. Barley — Prime malting, is to 4s 3d ; milling and modimn lots, 3* 3d to 3* 9d. Potatooi— First- olass psrwQQts, 50s to 555.
