Railway Changes.

Mr A. V. McDonald, who has been locomotive engineer in charge of the Hurunui-Bluff section, is to take charge at Auckland. His place will not be filled, the duties being carried ont by the present diiasionai mw^^r^mm^mh, Dunedin, and Invercargill, nnder supervision from the head office. 'Mr Jackson, locomotive engineer at Auckland, conies" to "Wellington^tb^assist the locomotive superintendent . in this and the oversight of the WeUington section, Mr Beattie, the presen^ mcomotive engineer, going to Wanganni, where he will continue to. have charge of the Napier-Taranaki section. /On the Auckland section Mr ■C. y,E. Richardson, locomotive -\ foreman, is ■ replaced by Mr W.- Ow ; en/< ofc-the y Hurunui-Bluff section. Mr dA; Blackmore, locomotive foreman at ChristY church, and, Mr Hargreatvesy car and waggon inspector, retire ont cbinpensa* tion, the .former -being; suicceeded : by Mr J. Dickenson, at, preseut locomotive inspector. Mr Verdon, locomotive foreman at Timarn, resnmes his former position ef leading driver. ; Mr New* ham, locomotive foKitoan at Wellington, also retires on compensation, and v succeeded by Mr . Hunter, .now locomotive . foreman at Wanganui. * The : worksihop foremen zat d Eastown^ (Mr A Sewell) and at Petone <Mr W.-A. Palmer) exchange places. Consequent -on these Alterations a large number of changes have been made in the clerical staff and the cadets, seven of the latter bang transferred to the traffic branch. Mr Seager, clerk at Eastbwn,is trantferred to Auckland, Parson (clerk At Petone) to Eastown, Palmer (clerk at head office) to Napier, Ellis (clerk ' at Addington) to locomotive foreman's office at Wellington, B6yCT"^k)cemotive' supcrintendant's offi _c at Wellington) to locomotive foreman's office Doned^i, and Caygill (locomotive engineer's office, Addington) to head office, Wellington. The Napier,: line will jbe added to the Foxton. New Mvmouth > section under the charge of Mr J. F. Lawson. Messrs Ondaille and .R. Brown, district clerks at Wellington and Invercargill, retire on compensa* tion, and are succeeded by Messrs Bidler and McMaster respectively. Messrs Aniens and Bensoni are transferred to the AnckUnd and Invercargill district offices.
