WOOL PBICES FIRM, The New Zealand Laad Association, Limited. 23rd May, 1894, report.— Wool. — Since opening of sales superior washed merino is Id per lb lower. Medium and inferior greasy merino, medium and inferior washed merino, and fine scoured crossbred are par at £d per lb lower, coarse greasy crossbred, and inferior medium and inferior greasy merine lambs are par at £d per lb lower. Other descriptions unchanged. There is much irregularity in the bidding. The Jtotal quantity catalogued to date is 185,000 bales. The total quantity witbdaawn to date is 17,000 bales.
(PEB PBESS ASSOCIATION.) London, May 24. The quantity of wheat and flour afloat for the Continent is t,568,000 quarters. New Zealand Shipping Gompanj's shares, £2 12s 6d. More competition is now exhibited at the wool sales, and prices are firmer for medium and better sorts
