A Man Killed by the Train.

[Per Press Association.] Auckland, Ma\ 23. The five o'clock tra:n tonight from Auckland to Onehunga accidentally killed an old man named William Thompson, aged 70, at Te Papa crossing. Ho was somewhat deaf, and it is supposed he did not hear the sound of the approaching train. The cow catcher struck him, inflicting mortal injuries. He died in a few minutes. He was a tort of tramp, and has no relations known in the colony.
