Premier Patterson says Sir George i Dibbs' federation scheme is simply iru- , possible, and is not within the range of practical politics. The plan, Mr Patterson contends, would mean Sydney as the capital and Sir G. Dibbs as Premier, and someone permanently residing in Sydney as Governor. He also thinks the absence of local Parliaments would cause the neglect of local wants.
