(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.! Chkistchubch. May 21. A six roomed house at Ashley was destroyed by firo this morning. The bouse, which was furnished, was occupied, and it is believed there was no insurance DtTNKDTN, May 21. At the inquest on Joshua Eccles the evidence showed that deceased had been drinking until a week ago. The iury returned a verdict that he drowned himself while temporarily insane through drinking. Deceased was 54 years of age. At a meeting of the Temperance t?oli tical Committee, resolutions were passed commending the actiou of the City Licon eing Committee in refusing special and conditional license?, drawng attention of the "'olonial Secretary to the recent case of the police against McConnell, and requesting; a searching inquiry, and that the Education Department be urued to introduce a suitable temperance reading book into the üblic pschools.
