A fire broke out in Leaseball Stand in Boston, and spreading with alarming rapidity, destroyed premises extending over 12 acres. Five hundred families have been rendered homeless, and it is estimated the damage will not fall short of a million dollars. Washington, May 16. The Boston fire was the work of an incendiary.
