o The Egniont Farmers' Union, Limited Hawera, report as follows :— At Manau on Wednesday, the 9th inst , about th< advertised number of cattle came forwarc forsale. There was only a small attend ance, but bidding was fairly brisk, especi ally for dairy cows, ao that we placec most of the lines that came in. W< qnote:— Cattle— Heifers, 18 months, ££ 12s 6d; heifers, in calf, t3 9s 6d to ££ 14s; springers, £4 13s to £5 2s 6d ; weaners, £L 14s. Pigs Bacon pigs, £1 12s to £2.
