Accident on the Railway Line.

* Last night as the 6.12 train was near Swainson's crossing, between Feilding and Halcombp, a Mrs Woods, who is a resident of Feilding, and an elderly woman, fell off the platform of one of the carriages. The train, which was going slowly over a new portion of the railway was stopped, and the woman was picked up and taken on to Halcombe. She was brought back to Feilding by the down train from Wanganui, and examined by Dr Charlton, who found that no bones were broken, but that she was severely shaked and bruised. As the injuries were so severe Mrs Woods was sent on to the Palmerston Hospital for treatment.
