o MR MUNDELLA'S POSITION. THE NEW COMPANY REGISTEREE (Per Press Association.) London, May 9. The Daily Chronicle says that there it a general feeling among the members ol the House of Commons that Mr Mundella ought to resign tho Presidency ol the Board of Trade, and leave it unfettered in the task of deciding whether the directors of the Loan and Mercantile Agency should be punished. Mr Henry Gibbs, a director of the Bank of England, has joined the Loan and Mercantile Agency Company's Board of Directors. May 10. The Times, commenting on Mr Justice Vaughan Williams' statement, says it is indecent and scandalous for Mr Mundella to retain office in the Ministry, and hopes that Lord Rosebery will intervene. The Judge has approved of the Loan and Mercantile articles of Association and the new company has been registered.
