Stock Market.
Messrs Nolan, Tonks & Co. report : — At Opunake, on the lst inst. there was a fair muster of stock. Competition was slack, consequently several Hne6 remained unsold. At Manaia, on 3rd inst., the entry of cattle was small. Considerably more sheep than advertised came forward, but few changed hands. We quote :— At Opunake— Weaners, 20s to 26s ; 18---month steers, £2 6s to £2 8s ; 2-year steers, £3 to £3 5s ; 2-year heifers, £2 10s to £2 13s 6d ; springing heifers, £3 to £3 3s j dairy cows, in calf, £4 os to £4 12s 6d. At Manaia—Weaners, 25s to 29s Gd * 10 to 12-month steers, 34s Gd ; yearling steers, £2 2s to £2 4s ; springers, £3 5s to £\ 2s Gel. Sheep— 2 tooth wethers (small), 7 s.
