The Bigamy Case.

(TEB PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Wellington, May 3. A young man named J. C. Hardy wasi brought back from Hobart this morning, charged with wife desertion and bigamy. The particulars alleged are that accused was married in the first instance at Hobart in 1891 to his kali-sister, who took an assumed name for the purpose. Hardy's second marriage to Miss Emily Cornwall occurred at Patea on the 3rd of June last year, and he is charged with having deserted her six months later. Accused was taken on to Fatea, where the case will be investigated.
