Messrs Townsend & Paul report of their horse Hale : — Entries comprised but very few good fresh horsed, a draft from Napier not reaching us in time for the sale. We sold draughts at from £10 to £13 10s ; light harness horses and hacks, £4 to .£&; invalids and aged, 20s to £2 Is. At a clearing sale at the Lower Hutt on the garden farm of Mr Suu Kwong Lee on Thursday last there was an excellent attendance, and everything was disposed of at satisfactory prices, draught horses, moetlj' aged, realising from £8 to £10 ; spring- carts, £11 to £12 ; harrows, £2 and £3 12s Gd. Wo have just had advice of a splendid draft of 25 horses, suitable for all kindnof work in the 8.8. Tasmania, from Sydney, which we submit to public competition on Saturday m xt. Messrs F. R. Jackson and Co report : — Cattle — At AVaverley : Forward steers £4 Ofi. { smaller steers, £3 to £2 I8s ; heifers, £3 2s ; mixed cattle, £2 17s ; weaners and yearlings, 80s to 05.3. At Waugauui : Milch cows, £4 ; cows and heifers, £1 15s to £3 10s ; weavers, 265 ; calves, 15s. Sheep — at Waverley : Fat light wethers, 8s 6d to 8s 9d ; stores, 6s 3d to 7s 8d ; ewes, 4s 6d to 7s ; culls, Is lid ; wether lambs, ss ; others, 3s 3d. At Wanganui ; Fat ewes, 7s lOd to 10s ; ewes aud wethers, 9s 6d ; ewes, 6s 6d ; empty ewes, 3s 6d to 4s 3d ; culls, 2s 6d ; Jambs, 3s 3d.
