A full meeting of the above com mittee was held last night at Ryan's Cheltenham Hotel, Mr Wm Junes presiding. , The ground committee reported that . they had decided on holding the sports [ on Mr Bruce's paddock. : The programme, consisting of 2'2 •> events, with about £40 being given '■ away in prizes (exclusive of some valu--1 able prizes to be distributed for child--1 ten's races) was adopted, and ordered ' to be published in the Cjtar and Advo i cate It was resolved that the right of the refreshments shall be left in the hands of the Secretary to dispose of to ' the best advantage. It was decided to have a concert and dance on the evening of the aporta and that any surplus fuDds go towards the erection of a Public Hall for Cheltenham. Messrs Templer, Coventry. Spencer, > D. A. Munro, Evison, and Clifton, were appointed a concert committeeThe meeting then adjourned till Saturday week, 12th instant, at the same place, with the usual vote to the Chairman.
